This Cookie Policy explains how Helstify ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies. We keep this deliberately minimal: we use cookies to run the Service, not to track you across the web or to sell advertising.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between requests — for example, that you are logged in. Some are strictly necessary for the site to function; others are optional.
2. Cookies we set
Strictly necessary (always on)
- Session cookie — a cookie (for example named
helstify_session) that keeps you logged in and maintains your session as you move between pages. Without it, authentication does not work. - CSRF-protection cookie — a cookie (for example
XSRF-TOKEN) that protects forms and requests against cross-site request forgery, a standard security measure. - Cookie-consent preference — if we present a consent choice, a small cookie remembers your choice so we do not ask again on every visit.
These are essential to provide a service you have asked for, and are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning site. They cannot be switched off through the site.
Analytics
We use first-party, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, referrer, campaign source). Where this relies on a cookie or similar identifier that is not strictly necessary, we set it only with your consent where required, and it is never shared for advertising. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
3. How long cookies last
Session and CSRF cookies are short-lived and typically expire when your session ends or shortly after. Preference cookies persist longer so your choices are remembered. Exact lifetimes may vary as we update the Service.
4. How to control cookies
- You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you clear existing cookies and refuse new ones.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break login and core functionality, so parts of the Service will not work.
- Where we offer a consent choice for non-essential cookies, you can change it at any time through your browser settings.
5. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date when we do.
