This policy explains how Helstify bills for its subscription plans, when refunds are available, and how payments — including cryptocurrency payments — are handled. It forms part of your agreement with Helstify ("Helstify", "we", "us") and is governed by the laws of [jurisdiction — to be confirmed]. Where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country gives you rights beyond those described here, that law prevails and nothing in this policy limits it.
The plans we sell
Helstify offers a free trial tier (Explorer) and three paid subscription plans: Starter, Operator, and Studio. Current prices, allowances, and hardware specifications for each plan are shown on our pricing page, which is the authoritative source for what you are charged. All prices are quoted and charged in US dollars (USD).
- Explorer (free trial) — no charge, no payment method required. It includes a limited monthly allowance of idea validations (currently 3 per month) and cannot provision a hosted business. It is intended for evaluating the product before you subscribe, and we may change or withdraw the free tier at any time.
- Starter, Operator, and Studio — paid subscriptions billed on a recurring cycle, each with the allowances and resource limits listed on the pricing page.
Billing cycle
- Paid plans are offered on a monthly or an annual billing cycle. You choose the cycle at checkout.
- On a monthly cycle you are charged the monthly rate at the start of each month of service. On an annual cycle you are charged for twelve months in advance at the discounted effective monthly rate shown for annual billing.
- Your subscription begins, and the first charge is taken, when you confirm your purchase.
Launch discount
- We are currently running a launch promotion of 50% off every paid plan. The discounted amount is the amount you are actually charged, and it is shown on the pricing page and at checkout next to the standard rate.
- Unless we state otherwise at the time you subscribe, the launch discount applies for as long as your subscription remains continuously active on the plan and cycle you purchased. If you cancel and later re-subscribe, or change plans, the discount available at that later time applies instead — the launch promotion may have ended by then.
- We may end or change the launch promotion at any time for new subscriptions. Doing so does not retroactively change a charge already taken.
Renewals
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle — monthly plans each month, annual plans each year — using your saved payment method, until you cancel.
- By default, renewals are charged at the rate applicable to your plan and cycle at the time of renewal (see "Price changes" below).
- You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it, suspend access to paid features, or downgrade your account to the free tier.
Cancellation
- You may cancel at any time from your account billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals.
- When you cancel, your paid plan remains active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for; at the end of that period your account moves to the free tier.
- Cancelling does not, by itself, trigger a refund of the current period. Refund eligibility is governed by the section below.
- Your data, code, and domains remain yours. You can export or transfer them before or after cancellation. We may remove data associated with hosted businesses a reasonable period after a paid plan lapses; export anything you wish to keep before then.
Refund eligibility
Because paid plans provision real, dedicated computing resources that cost us money from the moment they are created, our refunds are limited and are offered as follows:
- 14-day first-purchase refund. If you are dissatisfied with your first paid subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of that first charge, provided the service has not been substantially used or abused. This applies once per customer.
- Monthly renewals are generally non-refundable once charged, because the resources for that period are allocated immediately. If you forgot to cancel, contact us — we consider good-faith requests for a recent, unused renewal on a discretionary basis.
- Annual plans. Outside the 14-day window, annual plans are non-refundable for the remainder of the term. At our discretion we may offer a pro-rata credit for whole unused months, less any discount you received for committing to the year.
- Service failures. If we fail to deliver the service in a material way and cannot resolve it, we may issue a full or partial refund for the affected period at our discretion. Availability targets are addressed in our Service Availability Statement, which does not itself create an automatic entitlement to credits.
- No refunds are given for third-party costs passed through at or near cost (for example domain registrations), for consumption already delivered (such as idea validations already run), or where an account is terminated for breach of our terms or acceptable-use policy.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method wherever possible. To request a refund, contact us at hello@example.com with your account email and the charge in question.
Payments in cryptocurrency
We accept payment by card and by cryptocurrency. Please read this section carefully before paying in crypto, because crypto payments behave very differently from card payments.
- Crypto payments are effectively irreversible. Once a cryptocurrency transaction is confirmed on its network, it cannot be reversed, cancelled, or "charged back" by us, by you, or by any bank. You are responsible for sending the correct amount, of the correct asset, on the correct network, to the correct address. Funds sent incorrectly may be permanently lost and cannot be recovered by us.
- Value and timing. The amount payable is denominated in USD. The quantity of cryptocurrency required is based on an exchange rate at the time of checkout and may be valid only for a limited window. Network fees are your responsibility. If an underpayment or overpayment occurs, we may credit, refund the difference where practical, or ask you to complete the payment before service begins.
- How refunds are issued for crypto payments. Where we approve a refund on a subscription that was paid in cryptocurrency, we will normally issue it as account credit toward future service. If a monetary refund is agreed, we refund the USD value we recognised at the time of your payment (not the current market value of the coin), sent to a wallet address you provide, less any network transaction fees. We are not responsible for exchange-rate movements between your payment and any refund.
- We do not offer refunds to compensate for changes in the market price of any cryptocurrency.
Chargebacks and disputes
- If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us first at hello@example.com — we aim to resolve billing issues quickly and directly.
- Filing a card chargeback instead of contacting us, particularly for service you have used, may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and hosted businesses while the dispute is investigated. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks we believe are unwarranted and to recover amounts owed, including reasonable dispute costs where permitted by law.
- Cryptocurrency payments are not subject to chargebacks; disputes on crypto payments are handled solely under this policy.
Price changes
- We may change our prices, plan allowances, or resource limits. Changes to the standard rates are published on the pricing page.
- For existing subscriptions, a price change takes effect from your next renewal, not mid-cycle. Where required by law or where the increase is material, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email so you can cancel before it applies. Continuing your subscription after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- Taxes may apply depending on your location and are added where required.
